2023 Hair Routine

I have noticed some great results with my hair lately, and I wanted to share them with you all!

I had long hair pre TV show (August 2021), but due to styling, stress, etc, it became very damaged and scraggly (May 2022). I decided to start fresh and chopped my hair off into a chin length bob (June of 2022). Since then, I have been finding a hair routine that works for me as I grow it back out. Here are my findings :)

Maintenance

I get a trim every 3 months. In between that, I get a wash and press every 2-3 weeks and every other wash and press, I add a moisture steam treatment. Nightly I make sure to wrap my hair, and daily I do my best to minimize heat and manipulation.

Hair Type

I have dense 4b hair with low porosity.

Favorite Products

*From the top left to right, bottom left to right

Davines Nou Nou Conditioner - Super hydrating and useful after shampooing.

Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer - After I have completed a sweaty workout, I use this on the cold setting to touch up my roots and it is like magic. It is also great on wash day and cuts down drying time and breakage significantly.

Ritual Vitamins - This is a multivitamin that I have been taking on and off for 4 years. When I take them daily and consistently, I notice that my hair and nails grow quickly. This works better for me than other hair/nail growth supplements because it doesn't have Biotin, which makes me break out, and because it has all of the necessary vitamins for body health as well.

Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine - A couple of spritzes of this product directly on my hair or on my palm and then applied to my hair gives me that fresh out the salon look.

Silk Skinny Scrunchies - I refuse to use normal hair ties and have permanently switched to silk scrunchies. These are much less damaging on the hair and much more comfortable on the head.

Olaplex Shampoo - This gets my hair clean without stripping it of oils and prepped for conditioner.
